Interior Wall Removal & Installation

Taking out a wall can turn a cramped kitchen and dining room into one open space; putting one in can add an office, a bedroom or a closet. Either way the work is the same care in reverse. For removals we check whether the wall is load-bearing and what runs through it before anything is cut — a load-bearing wall needs an engineered beam and a city permit, and we'll explain what that involves before we quote. For new walls we frame, hang and finish drywall so the new wall matches the rest of the house.

Our Process

1

Assess

We look at the wall, what's above it and what runs through it, and tell you what removal involves.

2

Protect

The work area is sealed off to keep dust out of the rest of the house.

3

Build or Remove

The wall comes out and the gaps are patched — or new framing and drywall go up.

4

Finish

Tape, texture and paint so the change looks like it was always part of the house.
